Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is Frightmare?Frightmare is our annual haunted house presented by and located at Haunted Trails Family Entertainment Park, open during the month of October. It's a two-story dark and scary maze that you must get through without becoming a "permanent" cast member of the Unliving Dead Players. This year "you " are the scream scene star in famous scenes from well-known horror movies.Q. How scary is it?We get asked this a lot...it's scary! We wouldn't build a "haunted" house and not make it scary...and haunted!Q: Will my kids get scared? It really depends on the child. We've found that some children get very scared while some don't seem to get scared at all. We recommend that children under the age of 10 be accompanied by their parent(s) or have adult supervision. However we will allow any age child in at the discretion of the parent or guardian.Q. How long is the wait?Much of this depends on when you choose to visit Frightmare Haunted House. The closer to Halloween, the busier it is. Friday and Saturday nights are typically the busiest, however most nights the wait is no longer than 10-15 minutes.Q: Is the waiting area indoors or outdoors? There is canopy cover near the haunted house, but if lines are long the waiting area is outdoors, so its a good idea to be prepared for all weather conditions. If the weather is not to your liking, you can always visit our Monsters Tomb Game Room for a spell...(or potion).Q: Do you have restrooms available?Yes. There are restrooms available inside the Monsters Tomb Game Room.Q: What happens if my child (or I) gets too scared? If a child (or adult) gets too scared, we do have exits throughout the haunted house.Q: Are there any refunds if I dont go all the way through the haunted house?Sorry, all ticket sales are final.Q: Is this event wheelchair accessible? The haunted house is not, but our family entertainment park is.Q: Do you use fog, strobe lights, loud noises, etc?Yes we do. Frightmare is a fully interactive experience. We use different lighting and sound effects to create a fully terrifying atmosphere for our victims...I mean guests.Q: Will the monsters touch us?No, the monsters will not touch you...and we ask that you do not touch them either.Q: What happens if we are in line when you close? You will be allowed to enter. We place a person at the end of the line for people who come after closing.Q: Are there refreshments available?Yes! Come inside Charmin' Charley's Restaurant and scare up some grub! We have a variety of menu items available from sandwiches to pizza as well as assorted soft drinks.Q: Is there parking available?Yes. Parking is FREE!Q: Where can I buy tickets? You can purchase tickets directly at the Haunted Trails ticket booth or at the Frightmare Ticket Booth. General admission tickets are $10. If you come on one of our 20th Anniversary 99¢ Days (10/10/11 thru 1013/11 or 10/17/11 thru 10/20/11) you can purchase haunted house admission for just 99¢!Q: Can I buy tickets online? At the present time, no but it is something we are looking into for the future.Q: Where can I find coupons? We have discount coupons towards our $10 General Admission tickets available on our website promotion page. You can also get discount coupons through our haunted house sponsors.Q: Do you offer group rates? Why yes, we have great group packages for 15 or more guests that includes the haunted house, game tokens, attractions and pizza. See our group page for more information.Q: Do you have other entertainment? We have it ALL! Ghouls just want to have fun! We offer haunted miniature golf, go-karts, amusement rides and games.
